We had 28 people attending our "Going Green" Fall Meeting at the Olive Grove.

Kenny Peskin of ISA let a discussion on zoning. He will be sending a report and will be posted here. Harry Sommer urged the group to stay involved in zoning issues – once a large county has passed restrictions, other jurisdictions will follow.

Phil Hottinger led a discussion on "Going Green".  Ideas were shared including:

-          Reducing waste

-          Using substrates that are the correct color, reducing paints

-          LEDs to save electric

-          Compact florescent lights

-          Recycling of paper, cardboard, aluminum, paint runoff, steel, plastics

-          Proper disposal of waste

-          Recycling signs, renting storage space to store reusable signs

The location for our Oct. 16 meeting will be the Olive Grove Restaurant, 705 N. Hammonds Ferry Rd., Linthicum

We are constantly reviewing local zoning laws and enforcement. If you have info on new or proposed changes in your area please let us know because your input is usually the only way we know what's going on.
